➳ March Favourites.

Hey! I hope you all had a wonderful March!
Here are a few items and products that I have been loving through out the month.

Black Fedora

This has been my go to hat this month (especially on bad hair days), I feel as if it just ties my outfits together and keeps the sun off my face (Not recommended on windy days) I bought it from Supre for only $10 (on sale).

Purse

I bought this purse also for $10 (not on sale) from a hat shop near the Adelaide Central Markets. I am obsessed with it! I love the bright colours and the gorgeous pattern!

Handbag

This handbag was a bargain from Kmart for only $12, I think it was on sale. I had been on the lookout for a large black handbag that is able to hold papers and books, and everything else I carry on a daily basis and this one was just the right size and definitely the right price. (Click here to see my "Whats in my bag" post).
Nutrimetics Lip Apeel

As the days start to get colder, my lips tend to become dry, cracked and gross as! So this is my savior! (Click here to see my post more about this and other Nutrimetics products)

Thin Lizzy, Eye Liner

My friend Emily actually gave this to me to use on my eyebrows as it was a little too dark for hers and I have been loving it! I use the black end to create a soft winged look and the brown end to fill and enhance my brows! It glides on perfectly and come with a sharpener as well (score!). Thanks Emily! x

Tinted face moisturiser

I bought this from Kmart not too long ago, and have used it every day so far and it is amazing! Much more coverage than I expected for a tinted moisturiser all I need is some of this, some concealer and translucent powder and that's my daily natural makeup done! It doesn't make my skin feel oily and it has 50+ SPF protection (Sunburn is not an option). And it only cost me around $10 (couldn't find the receipt to check!).
Brookfarm, Gluten Free Porrij

As soon as the weather starts getting cooler I have less Banana ice-cream for breakfast and more Porrij. I absolutely love the Brookfarm Gluten free porrij, I mix it with some plain rice flakes, soy milk and water and then top it with Mayvers super spread, pure maple syrup, chia seeds, cinnamon and of course slices of banana. How delicious does that sound?!

Avalanche, Divine drinking chocolate

I wanted to add this in because I think it is one of the best drinking chocolates I have ever used, In my opinion so much richer and delicious then the Cadburys drinking chocolate. It makes the perfect hot chocolate and is also gluten free (yay). I always have at least one hot chocolate a week!

Disclosure, Latch ft. Sam Smith

I know this song has been out for a while but I only just re discovered it and I cant get enough of it! (Absolutely adore Sam Smith, his voice is perfection).

Masterpiece, Jessie J

I'm pretty sure Jessie J has one of the best voices ever. I would love to go to her concert!

Shark In the Water, VV Brown

This song is super old but when I was about 13 I was obsessed with it! I listened to it again a while ago and can't stop, I am obsessed again! I can't explain why I like it so much, its just so catchy and uplifting. I also really want to do a cover of this for YouTube.

One Last Time, Ariana Grande

I just really like this song. (simple as that).

I'm sorry there weren't many favourites for March but I know for sure April is going to have tons!

➳ Instagram Diary, March 2015.

Here is a little insight into what my month looked like.

March consisted of Vegan cooking, outfits, shopping, Lush baths, Adelaide Fringe Adventures, Blog posts and lots of Soy Hot Chocolates!!

I have to say that Instagram is definitely my favourite social network! Its usually the first thing I check when I wake up, before Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, my emails or anything, I am completely obsessed with it, resulting in me uploading at least one photo a day.

If you want to, feel free to follow me on Instagram! :

Also March favourites are going up tomorrow!

➳ Day in the City for Emily's Birthday.

Yesterday I met my friend Emily in the city to celebrate her 20th birthday! (Shes so old omg, good thing she ages well)

We agreed to meet at 11:30, however I wanted to get her some flowers so instead got into the city at 10:30 (dedication right there) and walked all the way to the East End Flower Market to buy her some pretty flowers, But when I actually got there I noticed they had an awesome selection of succulents! Which obviously last a lot longer than flowers, so I picked out the prettiest one to give her.
You should definitely check out the "East End Flower Market" on Instagram (and of course my account as well) .

I also gave her a Vanilla and Jasmine candle that I made myself and a Lush bath bomb (She shares my love for lush), I gave her the "Granny takes a dip" bath ballistic, which smells so damn good (seriously I need to go and get one for myself).

(Emily this is probably my favourite picture of you!)

We of course went to our favourite place for lunch, Two Bit Villains. I love this place so much, there's always new art to look at and the food is always delicious.

The flags they had hanging up were actually available for purchase (for $60) If they were a bit cheaper or If I had more money I think I would have been really tempted to get one!

We got the usual fries (they are such good value for $5) and I also got a choc-peanut vegan shake (actual best thing ever), and Emily got a strawberry shake.

Then of course we had to stop by Lush, and the best thing was that the Easter range literally came out Yesterday, so we got to see all the new stuff!

All the Easter stuff was amazing and I couldn't help myself and bought the Limited Edition Pot of Gold shower jelly. I've always been really interested by the shower jellies, and so I thought I would give one a go, this one smells amazing! (will probably make an appearance in my April favourites) I also plan on coming back to get the golden egg and one of the fluffy egg bath bombs.

We also had a browse through Myer and spent ages looking at shoes (Especially Kurt Geiger boots, ugh goals).

(I really want this plate!)

➳ How I Do My Nails. (Easy & Affordable)

Hey! Does anyone else love having fresh nails but hate the price of acrylics and how thick and fake they look, or do you absolutely hate the process of waiting for varnish to dry, when you can't touch or do anything and they still get smudged no matter how hard you try! (ain't nobody got time for that).

So if you are anything like me on the topic of nails, then I have the perfect alternative.... Glue on nails! Super affordable, super easy, and they look amazing! Often people just assume they are my real nails (if I were to have super strong, long and perfect nails). I have been using glue-on nails for a couple years now, and would definitely recommend them as a cheaper alternative to acrylics. They last quite a few weeks for me, and if one falls off all you have to do is glue it back on! (Can't do that with acrylics)

Keep reading if you want to know the steps I take to achieve flawless nails!

Nailene Full cover nails, 200 pack (Active square) - $15
Nailene Nail Glue (Comes with nails)
Nail file/buffer (also comes with nails)
Nail clippers
Nail Varnish
2 straws or pens
1 Small jar or container
Blu-tack

Choose the Nails that fit your natural nail. (I seriously have the tiniest finger nails)

Using the Blu-tack stick the nails onto the (uber-cute) straws in order from thumb to pinky and make sure to leave ample room at the bottom. (You are probably very confused as to why you are blu-tacking fake nails to straws but do not worry I will explain in the next step).

Paint nails with varnish and stand straws in the jar for the nails to dry.
(Leave overnight, or wait a few hours until varnish is dry and will not smudge)
I actually invented the using straws or pens method myself, the usual technique is to apply the nails and then paint them after as if they were your natural nails, however I wanted to remove the "waiting for them to dry" part and skip straight to the "strong perfect nails" part. (pretty good idea hey?)

Remove nails from straws and ensure all Blu-tack is removed. Then proceed to washing your hands (focus on nails), trimming your natural nails, pushing back your cuticles and lightly buffing your nails all in preparation to finally glue on the nails!

Yay! time to apply the nails! Do this by squeezing a small drop of glue on the underside of the nail and then press the nail over natural finger nail and hold for approximately 10 seconds, until the nail seems to be stuck on. The glue dries quite quickly but don't stress, many times I have dropped nails on the floor with glue on them and still had enough time to pick them up and put them on without the glue drying.

The last step is to file and shape the nails to your liking! (I just kept mine square this time)

All done!

I hope you enjoyed this post, please let me know what sort of posts you would like to see in the future!
