➳ September Beauty Favourites.

Hello!
I am currently sitting writing this wearing shorts and a t-shirt fully embracing the beautiful 30° Spring weather. In September I loved a lot of beauty or beauty related products, so I thought I would Just make this a September Beauty Favourites post (which you already knew from the title obviously). Hope you are having a lovely day!

Nutrimetics By the Shore... Body Wash and Body Lotion.
This range is my absolute favourite scent by Nutrimetics ever! Both the wash and lotion smell amazing and are perfect for Spring and Summer. I bought these on sale at the end of last Summer and I really hope they sell them again soon.

Nutrimetics Cleanser Toner , Passion Fruit and Papaya.
Trust me when I say, This stuff smells amazing! I love the Nutrimetics Cleanser Toners, they are so easy and convenient to use and they have plenty of scents to choose from. Since Papaya and Passion Fruit are two of my favourite fruits obviously I had to get this one! Another awesome thing about this product is that it only costs $15 and they regularly go on sale!

Elf Healthy Glow Bronzer.
In my opinion this doesn't really work all that well as a bronzer, however I absolutely love using it as an eye-shadow! Its super golden and pigmented (in the shade Sun kissed), perfect for an eye-shadow really.

Essence The Gel Nail Polish.
I have had this colour (05 Sweet as Candy) on my nails since the first day of Spring and I really don't think its going anywhere soon.

Hurraw Lip Balm.
I have already mentioned this Lip balm as well as the nail polish in another blog post (I love Spring Tag, click here to check it out!) So as I said in the other post this lip balm (Vanilla bean flavour) smells and tastes so good I have to seriously refrain from taking a bite out of it (it's also vegan and cruelty free!).

Jordana Mascara.
Yay! For another cruelty free and super cheap makeup brand! This mascara cost me around $6 and I use it pretty much everyday, it make my lashes look long but still separated and natural.
Eco-tools Makeup Brushes.
Every time I went to Cole's or Woolworth's I would always look at these brushes and think "damn they look soft" therefore as soon as they went on sale I snapped these two up! They are made with incredibly soft cruelty free bristles, recycled aluminium ferrules and sleek bamboo handles. I use the Skin perfecting brush (smaller one) with my BB cream and it creates a flawless even finish and I use the Large Powder brush to set my face.

Go Bamboo Toothbrush.
I have had my eye on a bamboo toothbrush for a while too and finally bought one for $5 from a health food store. The brand is Go Bamboo and the toothbrush is 100% biodegradable, BPA free and made using sustainable Bamboo and biodegradable polymer.

But Why use a Bamboo Toothbrush?

It is recommended that you should replace your toothbrush every four months, meaning the average person who lives 70 years or longer can use over 200 toothbrushes in a lifetime. Though the ordinary plastic toothbrush is not a large item, it can still have a very negative impact on the earth. The shocking fact is that most toothbrushes are non-biodegradable, and can sit in a landfill for over 1,000 years without degrading and leaching harmful chemicals into water systems and soil, making them either unfit for use, or expensive to clean.

So....... Go Bamboo!

Bondi Sands Self tanning foam.
And finally the last product, is the self tanning foam by Bondi Sands. I use this product religiously throughout Spring and Summer, as I Love having tanned skin but do not want to damage my skin by lying out in the sun for hours (seriously its not a good idea, don't do it).

And that concludes my favourites for September, Hope you all had a fabulous month and an even better October.

xx

➳ I Love Spring. (Tag)

Well, considering Spring is my all time favourite Season and time to be alive I thought I would hit up Google and search for a Spring tag! Sure enough I found the "I love spring tag" (makes sense I guess, because I do love Spring...) , I'm not sure who created this tag (if you do happen to know please let me know so I can credit them) .

Favourite spring nail polish?

Essence The Gel nail polish 05 "Sweet as Candy". This nail varnish is a pretty baby pink, that pretty much goes with everything and I have a feeling this will be my nail colour all spring.

(Ring in photo is from The Vintage Fox)

What is your must-have lip colour this spring?

If I am completely honest I hate wearing lip-gloss and don't often lean towards lip-stick. Therefore the lip colour I was born with is probably my "Must-have" Lip colour (not to mention easy to achieve). To keep my lips soft and moisturised I use the Hurraw lip balm in the flavour vanilla bean, it smells and tastes so good I have to seriously refrain from taking a bite out of it (it's also vegan and cruelty free!).

Show us your favourite spring dress!

I know technically this isn't a dress (its a play-suit) But technically its the same idea as a dress, right? A single piece of clothing that can be worn on its own? Anyway I am in love with this play-suit! (even if it is a bit tight around my arms) I got it from MCL for $15 (the brand is Luvalot).

What’s your favourite flower?

When it comes to flowers I tend to pick any that are unique, colourful or spherical in shape.
I absolutely adore Billy Buttons (the Yellow ball shaped flowers, pictured below) and I also love Pom Pom Chrysanthemums (the white flowers in third picture). But a type of flower that has recently caught my eye (and maybe my heart) are called Green tricks and they make me think of soft grassy hills, they look so luscious and different (of course in a good way).

Favourite spring accessory?

Hats for sure! (Both hats are from Cotton On) Or a flower crown (From Factorie) because flower crowns just scream Spring.

What spring trend(s) are you most excited about this year? (Makeup, fashion or both!)

I am actually so clueless about trends! I literally just wear whatever I want. I am excited to try more of a bohemian/ Music festival kind if style (not sure if this is actually in trend though).

Favourite spring candle?

Luna & Luxe Lily and Bamboo, This candle is so suitable for Spring, it smells fresh and light.

Favourite body spray/perfume for spring?

Well I currently use a Beyonce perfume. Any recommendations for Spring Scents?

What is spring like where you live?

Comfortably Warm. With occasional Winter and Summer like days.

What’s your favourite thing about spring?

The sense of a new beginning.
(As well as the warmer weather, flowers, smell of the air, etc.)

Are you a spring cleaner?

Absolutely!, I am a spring do everything-er! During spring I seem to without fail feel 100x more inspired and motivated to get creative, organise and clean (and well do anything for that matter).

Any plans for spring break or an upcoming vacation?

Many many Picnics.

I nominate everyone reading this to do the "I Love Spring tag" ! Let me know if you do, do it! x

➳ A Day of Summer.

Hiya! How are you all?

Last Sunday the smell of Spring and even Summer was in the air, and of course a beach trip was absolutely mandatory on a warm and comfortable 29° day.

After finishing work for the morning (Tennis Coaching) I fuelled up for the beach with some strawberry and raspberry banana ice cream (Literally just blend together those three ingredients with a lil' water) topped with chopped papaya! (my favourite fruit!) Super simple, sweet and refreshing. (not to mention healthy and vegan)

Around 2:00pm Me and Callan headed for the beach!

We packed some snacks of freshly baked (by me) vegan and Gluten free banana bread muffins, juicy oranges, and plain rice crackers.

I also brought some AquaBotanical water that I got from the Pure veg food and wine fair.
Hard to believe but this water was 100% made from fruit & vegetables! The batch they were selling at the fair was made from carrots! (it doesn't taste like carrots, by the way) It contains 74 essential plant minerals for wholesome living (sounds pretty good right?).

Hat is from Kmart.
Sunglasses are from Cotton on.

Something to always remember is to bring and wear sunscreen when going to the beach (or out in the sun anywhere) I use the Nutrimetics Sun Days SPF 50+ Lotion (Its currently on sale for only $26.90 for the big bottle!)

It is also very important to bring other sun safety items like a hat and sunglasses, I always wear a hat to the beach now because I have had my parting and scalp sun-burnt way to many times, and trust me it really hurts.

Play-suit is from MCL.

We also stopped by the Crystal Wave on the way home.

I bought two amethyst crystals that I will be using in some DIY's later on!

The first taste of Spring and Summer has me so excited! (its a shame the weather is back to being cold now). Hope you enjoyed this post, many more to come!

➳ Exploring The Botanic Gardens Part 3.

On Thursday me and Emily did one of our favourite things and took our lunch to the Botanic Gardens to enjoy the sunshine (and our food of course).

We headed straight for our usual picnic spot and indulged in our cold rolls from Soonta and our juices from Fresh Junction.

I got the tofu and shiitake mushroom cold rolls and Emily got her favourite pork and prawn.

Body chain is from Lovisa ($5).

I also devoured three Bananas. (no shame)

Once we had finished eating we then of course went for a little walk around.

Hat and sunglasses are from Cotton On.
Top is from Paper Scissors.
Jeans are from Boohoo.
Sandals and watch are from Kmart.

It was such a beautiful day to walk through the Gardens, the sun was shining and the flowers blossoming. Spring is definitely in the air.

Just another wonderful day, no doubt we will be back there soon with an "Exploring the Botanic Gardens Part 4."

➳ A Sunday well spent, At The Market Shed.

Yesterday me and Emily ventured to the Market shed on Holland Street in the city! We met in Rundle Mall then caught the tram to the Market.

I have been wanting to go to this market for ages now, but never seemed to be free on a Sunday afternoon and have someone to go with. Luckily Emily was free the same day I happened to be!

(Click Photos to enlarge)

beautiful flowers and fresh produce made the cold weather a little more bearable.

There was such a great vibe going on there was live music, the smells of spices, fresh fruits and many different cuisines of food. Everybody just seemed so content, people simply sitting enjoying a warm drink or some fresh juice and tapping their feet to the music.

In an attempt to slightly cure out immense hunger we got some Kale chips from All Hale Kale to have as a snack before lunch, They were crispy and delicious, however Emily wasn't to keen on them (all the more for me).

I adored all the hanging plants scattered around.

After exploring every inch of the Market shed whilst I devoured the Kale Chips, we finally ordered some lunch. Emily got some gluten free squid and I got Vegan, gluten free and absolutely divine waffles from Live a Little Gelato topped with maple syrup (of course) and salted caramel vegan ice cream. Sounds like heaven right? It was!

Emily quenched her thirst with a mean green juice. A combination of apple, spinach, ginger and many other nutrient packed ingredients.

I am counting down the days until I get to go back here. If you live in Adelaide or will be passing through at any point definitely give this Market a visit. You wont regret it.

Hopefully there will be another blog post when I go back here for the Pure Veg Food & Wine Fair next weekend! (Literally so extremely excited).
